This committee is the new home of the Ruakituri Residents Association. The Ruakituri Residents Association Ltd was disbanded by way of community decision at the AGM on 7th September 2023. It was decided that the Guardians of the Ruakituri would act as administrative Korowai to this organisation, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient administration of the organisation and financial management. The Mana of the Ruakituri Residents Association will be retained as a specific focus committee with representation from all active stakeholders and a commitment to ensure historical events are treasured both now and into the future. A specific focus of this committee is to ensure the Ruakituri Hall is well maintained and up kept as a fit-for-purpose venue for all community needs.
Please note: the text below reflects the previous structure where the Residents Association Incorporated was a separate entity.

We are currently undergoing an extensive Feasibility study with support from Lotteries NZ to gather the baseline data on the condition of the facility and the areas that need maintenance and upgrading. This project is being managed by Graham Hole Inc.
Historically there was much pride in the Residents Association Petitioning to have the Ruakituri designated as a Wilderness Area. This is a significant achievement and was gazetted in February 2006.
